well guys i was thinking and i thought it would be cool to share some or one of the things you have made from scrap or practically whatever has come to hand.
well ill share mine first.. i had a spare mountain brike frame which was about 5 years old. all rusted and a thought came to mind.. i had planned in my head a mountain chopper.. so i salvaged the front wheel from it, repaired the punctures etc.. and sanded all the frame down and spray painted it black.. looked really nice actually..
then the fun part started.. i bought on of those cheap 125 dollar 49 cc engines of ebay.. used a decent sized plate of steel from dads work and acustomed it to the frame on where the back tyre used to be...
i then put a 12 inch tyre which i fitted a 64 tooth sprocket too(meanwhile on the front was a 30 inch tyre).. looked pretty cool aswell..
alot of hassle tying to get the engine mounted securely but ended up looking sweet.. made up a brcket for a random fuel tank to sit in and whalla..
i had a sweet mountain bike with a massive front wheel and a back wheel the size of a small dinner plate..
looked really cool and pinged up to about 50 k's an hour...
anyway that was my little project sort of thing..
what have you guys done..(other than cars im meaning)

Sounds interesting, couldn't have been worse than the things my neighbors ride up and down the street. :p

I built a miniature trebuchet about two years ago, stood a little over a metre tall. Got some plans off the net, took a quick trip down to Bunnings, a few hours of work and I had something that would put a golf ball through a ceiling no worries. I showed the guys at work and there was talk of building a bigger one, but nothing has happened... yet.
