Hello peoples,

My GSR has upgraded fuel system so why not make the best of it.
How many PSI will a TD05 16G handle with stock 4g93 safely ?

Cheers.

1 Bar is about it....if you do go higher, make sure there is zero knock.

In the car the brother just sold...we were running about 12 psi from a 14b and a stock intercooler. Inlet temps were a bit on the high side and there was occasional knock. the air volume was 27 pounds per minute according to the ecmlite. that is about the edge of the efficiency envelope for that turbo. we were also getting close to maxing the 510cc evo injectors.

suggest you look at improved intercooler and bigger injectors than stock 390cc before you turn the wick up

Like the rest have said, bigger injectors if you dont have them already, althought im suprised the 510cc evo injectors didnt hold up BMGTZ?
What ecu where you running?

A good tune with a aftermarket computer like a microtech mt 10 does wonders.

That turbo can handle 15 pound no dramas, its the standard rods that are on the limit now..
Thats the weakest link in a standard 4g93t.

ECM LITE. fuel pressure was at 43.5. after a lot of tuning...duty cycle was at 84%

my current td04 could be packing it so might be looking into the td05 for sure now.

atm car has the 5th injector fitted, but i do question its reliability. So, if i upgrade to 510cc for safe sake, is a retune a must ?

Ok,,,, so... what needs to be done in terms of tuning?

Does this mean i "need" an aftermarket ecu??

Bit of an overkill for such a small upgrade lol. im just used to the Subaru logic, reflash stock ecu and wallah.

If u wanna tune the OEM ECU, you will need to socket/bay and chip it, then get the eeprom written to suit your mods

In the end it way cost you over $500 anyways

Or.... get an EVO AFM, 510cc inj and the 16G and run the EVO ECU
