How much for some head?

How much is a 1G 4G63 head worth?
Has Comp 264 cams, Crower springs and Ti retainers
its slightly ported, but nothing major

so how do i remove the head?

do i just undo the valve cover? then undo the arp studs? or is there something else holding the engine on?


i'll sell it for $1000 if anyone is interested

I know I wouldn't pay 1k for a USED head with just 264's, springs and retainers and slight porting....

undo the rocker cover, unbolt the manifold/in and out, unbolt whatever is connected to the head (timing belt, thermostat housing, hoses, cas, injectors etc etc) and unbolt the 10 arp head stud nuts (from memory its 10)... once that is done, it should come off pretty easily...

Used VR4 head = $300
Used 264 Comp Cams = $550
Used Crower h/duty valve springs and titantium retainers: $250
Head Porting = $100
Plus you also get the valves, guides, rocker arms and hydraulic lifters, dont forget that.

Total = $1200 in parts easy if he pulled it down separately. If he sells for $1000 then its a good deal IMO provided the parts are in good condition

How much do you reckon they are worth?
