I'm playing around converting a 3.545 viscous lsd rear diff to a 3.909. That part is fairly easy (already done, just needs to get shimmed and lapped).
The viscous lsd was supplied with the stub axles but the driveshafts were gas axed off  so all I have is little stubs of axle sticking out. Now I need to get the "stubs" out and put the inners joint that is specific to the viscous lsd on the stock axle.
From what I can tell, the inner rear lobro joints cannot be dissassembled. It looks like the axle is pressed in.
Anyone played with these inner joints before?

Rob.

Brisvr4, got any spare 3 bolt axles I can borrow on an exchange basis?

Well I finally got the loboro joint off the drive shaft. :D
I looked at it for a long time, had a big, stiff scotch and coke and decided to take to it with a lump hammer.
Clamped the driveshaft on a vice and tapped the lobro joint off. The driveshaft has a C clip in the end of it just like the ends of the driveshafts which go into the gear box. Not hard at all really.

Hehe, alcohol must make things easier?
No wonder my car isn't fixed yet! :p
I think I'll stick to that one. ;)

No no no Mo, Rob is mistaking Canadian club for actual scotch! I tried some over christmas and I think i'd rather remove my own tongue rather than have to taste it again :p

Ahahahaha!!
Funny guys lol

What I wanna know (or may not wanna know) is what you would do with Timmy's tongue Rob??
Sounds a bit suss to me haha
