hsgr to evo3 ecu wiring issue, help required please.

Hey guys. I have attempted to install an EVO 3 ecu into my hsgr... The ecu is chipped for an 055 MAF, so I installed that first before the ecu and it started and ran. Cool
Installing the ecu however.... O changed pinouts for 8 and 33 as directed for fuel and it won't start. I hear a lot of "tinks" like solenoids from the engine bay now prior to cranking the engine however it tried to catch but doesn't. As if starved of the fuel.
1st attempt it started then died, now won't start at all. Bugger. Help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Ran the code on the case and its actually an evo1 ECU. Would this make a difference. Need help please.

Sounds like you have no pump.
Was one of your wires you moved white/red trace?

In my gallery (click my user name and open gallery) there is fuel pump wiring.
can you make sense of the wiring diagram for the gsr 1.8? The evo will be same.
Do you have the same colours on your mfi relay?

Thanks Jack, sounds about right mate. I'll wait til the morning, laptop is charging at the moment, open your gallery and have a good look at it. I do recall white/red trace however.

OK, worked out the chip wasn't in correctly.... Repositioned.
Engine will now start but after a short idle the motor just dies as if starved of fuel.
Jack, when I had a look at your gallery for some reason I can't make out the relay properly.

Pins 8 and 33 placed back in original position now the car starts and runs. Tried this with another evo3 ECU and runs fine as well.
Definitely not an ssg..... Weird.

Whoever wrote that chip sure knew what they were doing! With the EBC adjusted a bit and 18 psi it hauls arse big time, I would love to see it on the 400 :thumbsup:

Mark out a 400m stretch and give it a run. The mph at the end is the hp.

Hmmm.... Yes there are roads here for that Jack. However the conditions of same would be a concern at 100mph plus.
I will try to find a suitable one tomorrow however and I will post up the result.
