I apologize if I've posted in the wrong forum but i was just after a lil help regarding my 1993 Lancer GSR 4g93t. I drove home today from work with no problems at all but when i went to park up and turn the car off i realized there was a wierd noise coming from the engine bay particularly from somewhere under the power steering fluid. It has been goin 2 hours straight. The noise kinda sounds like hair clippers and it goes off everytime i disconnect the battery and straight back on once reconnected. Is anyone familiar with this problem? Can anyone tell me if i should be worried or is it an easy fix? Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Abs. Pull the abs fuse or relay and see if it stops.
I've tried pulling the ABS fuse but the noise is still there. Which fuse would be the relay? Sorry if its a dumb question..

Not sure. Mine is a proton without abs. Its written under fuse box lid under bonnet.

pull them all out if its not the abs. And replace one at a time till the noise starts again. There isnt much over there.
Maybe pull out the inner fender liner and see if thats where noise is coming from

I ended up pulling all the fuses out except the alternator, radiator fan, and the head and tail lamp fuses but still no luck the noise just keeps goin and whats worse is that its draining my battery..

sounds like it'll definately be a relay, maybe aircon if ya have it, those relays are over that's side?
Can you just tell me is it a matter ofjust disconnecting and reconnecting the relay?

Fucken hell! Sorry guys dont mean to be a bloody idiot but how will i know if its the relay for the ac? Ive been disconnecting and reconnecting all the connectors but nothing seems to be working..

Oh ok well for sure its not the ac relay. It definitely sounds like it could be the abs. Maybe the abs computer??
