So, mitsub Oz was happy enough to take my money telling me a part was in stock. Then it turns out a week later that they have a "broadcast" out. IE, they never had the part and they're stringing me along.
I absolutely desperately need an oil pump drive gear (part of the timing belt assembly) to suit an e39a vr4. I need it new, and I need it yesterday.
I fucking hate curveballs and this is cutting it way too fine for me.
If you have one anywhere in melbourne, I will literally come and pick it up on the weekend. If you have one somewhere else in australia, please PM me and i'll get you some cash so you can shove it in an express post envelope.
I've emailed Mitsubishi NZ to see if they have one and I'm somewhat hoping that maybe an evo part is the same and trav might have better access to it.
I BELIEVE the part is MD300335 but that's my memory talking of a screen I saw for about 2 seconds so I could be wrong. It's part of the timing belt assembly if you look at CAPS/whatever the new parts program is called.
I wanted to get a 2ndhand one but my mechanic won't have a bar of it and won't warrant his 2nd attempt at this engine build after the first one went pear shaped if I go that path.
