Idle issues

Hey gents right I have done the evo 3 turbo ecu and throttle body change have installed new intercooler pipe work etc I am having an issue with the idle hunting removed the idle control valve coils test fine. car starts fine works its way to idle after about 2-3 mins then hunts checked for boost leaks on intercooler pipes can't seem to find any.

It's hunting form 1500 to 2000 rpm can get it to settle at 2000 if I adjust tps sensor but obviously want it lower than that

Plug back in your old ecu and see if that fixes it.
and put the tps back in its original spot because you marked it before moving it.

check the idle speed control thread thread at the top of this section mate it's in there and the hunting you describe is ecatly the issue i had with a dead TPS

Hi mate I stupidly moved the bias screw as well as I assumed it was just like old school adjustable idle screw "bollocks" really kicking myself anyone able to instruct how to set this correctly

You cant set the biss without being able to read the isc position.
always take note of initial settings

Hmm well I feel stupid now any chance you have an idiots guide to starting from scratch I will be setting up the tps as in your idle problems guide

theres a jumper you need to earth before you can set the bis

Thank you I'm going to have to find a lead and software I presume so I can fix the issue

all you need do is earth the jumper it tell you to this sets the isc to a particular setting you then adjust the BIS to give you the desired nominal idle ~750 rpm and remove the earth done simple clean

Now I sound even more stupid was the throttle stop I adjusted and haven't installed the GPs correctly so will be doing this Thursday and starting from there hopefully just a stupid error on my part and an easy fix didn't put the tips on facing down and turn the 90 degrees like it says in the manual what a dipstick I am anyway it's a learning curve will be back with more questions I'm sure. Set it all up now just sits ticking over at 2000 think I have changed the airflow a lot by porting the intake and new bigger intercooler pipe work so biss will need adjusting
