Idle Speed

Just got back my car after getting the head overhauled, and lots of other stuff. Battery has been disconnected for 2 weeks.

For some reason, the car idles normally when first started, but when sitting at the traffic lights it sits at 1500rpm. Is this caused by the ECU being reset (battery off 2 weeks) or is it something else? (perhaps alternator on its way out?)

Any ideas?

Repairs

Hmmm lets see.... New Headgasket, new headbolts. new cambelt, lifters flushed and cleaned, new harmonic balancer, new cam bellty/all pulleys replaced (the kit). Pretty much the entire head rebuillt.

the wire you need to earth out is pictured below, remember to make sure the car is warmed up and nothing (sterio, A/C etc.) is turned on when you do it. Cheers Richard.
