Importing gearboxes

As the W5M33 Gearboxes are getting quite rare these days and I'm still looking for one for my evo III build I've started with the thought of importing.

Has anyone done this? Japan for cores, or built trans from TMZ in the states etc?

I got a full stage 4 setup from tmz with clutch cost me $600 in postage it was in parts tho

I have an EVO2 gearbox with a smashed 4th gear sitting in a workshop in Central Victoria. The guy holding onto it for me has been rebuilding EVO gearboxes for over 15 years and knows them back-to-front. It's no good to me anymore, but he would know how to turn it into an EVO3 gearbox and rebuild it to give it a new lease on life.

If you're interested, I'll ask Andrew to assess the extent of the damage and give me an estimate on what it would take to rebuild the gearbox and we can work out a price for you to purchase the gearbox from me. Then I can put you in touch with Andrew to manage the rebuild.

I just imported a mitsubishi GTO trans. About 1.5k landed. That is considered cheap! About 2.5k local pricing....
