Hi all,

Just after abit of advice on the old E85 requirements for my setup Im going to go a PS1000 with flex tune, So really after what peoples opinions own experiences on what would be the go pump and injector wise to suit both 98 and E85.

Basics are - Will be forged 93T, tomei 290 11.1 cams/brian crower springs, TD05H-60/1.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Cheers,
Ted

Do you know how much they will support man? current duty cycle on your injectors ect? Ive already got that pump :) so thats a plus

Not sure how much they support, but I'm currently making 240kw at the wheels and I doubt I've maxed them out with that power figure.

My tuner fitted them when the car was dyno'd and converted to E85...

1000's will be fine for what your likely to get out of this engine i to am running bosh id 1000's mine are a very old style that are more like fuel hoses than injectors so i'll probably upgrade soon to get something that better atomizes fuel

Yes very quiet....it has a completely different impeller design from the 255....I had a 255 previously and it pissed me off.
The 416 is quiet as.

Ive heard the 416 is quieter which is why Im changing my 5, that and fuel flows back out when its switched off lol,
fic's 1050 give me 300kw too

For E85 you might need bigger injectors I have 1000s maxed out an only make low 200kw's at all 4's, they were previously at 97% duty cycle on the old tune at 20psi an I made I think 220 ish, I'm only on E85 no pump.
My new tune I'm making about the same power but only 16PSI at the top end because the injectors are maxed, runs maybe 22 down low an tappers back, the dyno graph is in the car I'll put up a pic if I remember to pull the graph out over the wknd.
From my experience I would go bigger

With a bigger pump(416) the injectors go further.
Whats your base fuel pressure Dan?
He will be fine with a 416 and 1050s for his power expectations.
Mine made 250-270 on a 255 and 1050cc injectors on e85.
With same injectors and a bigger pump mine went that bit further...cant recall the injector duty but my tuner wouldnt have them at there limits, he does things safe and likes to leave some head room !

i think by pump he means no 98. as 98 is termed as pump in e85 circles as you used to have to buy your 85 by the barrel

Which E85 were you using Jamo? Real E85 or Caltex eflex?
Using real E85 would give you an effective injector size of 700cc approx.
The rough calculation is to multiply the injector size by .670

With E85 I always err on the larger size, no need to upgrade later if you chase more power.
