Thought some of you may like to see whats inside?

I have this one and a stock one to test back to back.

I have some spare dow corning fluid left over from my old viscous front lsd (aldo knows how well that works :) )
so I thought I would cut this one open, clean all of the plates and reassemble it with the good dow corning fluid inside.

The plan is to cover the plates in the fluid prior to installing them. Then weld it back together and finish filling it through
the 2 holes it has had tapped in the top. Time will tell how it goes I guess.

Yeah it's a 2 hands on the wheel lsd George ! I sent'cha a PM regards the lsd you're workin' on.
Cheers !

Cool. So how much of a difference between front and rear when its got the DC fluid in it? ie compare it to somewhere between OEM VCU and a welded centre, would it be somewhere around the middle of them?
Got any pics of how it's tapped? I'd assume its done with shallow allen head grub screws yeah?

Aldo maybe? Usually when people fry them they're useless, except if you break it down and weld it together for a 2WD locking spline.

I'll post up when I'm back home from Sydney

But yes it just has the balls drilled out and two small all key screws

i got two spare vcu's and considered cutting one open to see what was in there also, interesting stuff!
