Intake manifold idle control bolt part number needed.

I need the part number for the idler/pin bolt that controls the idle on the intake manifold, OR another bolt from another car that will do the job.

I seemed to have lost mine on the way up to Bendigo today I went to the wreckers when I got back and picked up a magna one, but that doesn't do the job, it idles at about 500rpm for 2 seconds, then dies. I've plugged it for the mean time, and that seems to do the job, but I'd rather fix it than just do a half arsed job.

ring up mitsubishi, they should be able to sort something out, or speak to dre. he's wrecking an a-spec.

mitsubishi is useless for vr4 bits

i needed a new left hand side abs cable, $450 through japan, and they dont even know if its available in japan either

I now know why.

Last night I was screwing the BISS (Base Idle Set Screw) I got from a magna all the way in, which was causing the idle to drop immediately. Today after abit of playing around I tried unscrewing slightly to some advice on vfaq, sure enough it worked. About 2-3 turns back has my car idling beautifully at 800rpm. I guess that they can fall out because they are never really screwed in tight, and eventually start unscrewing themselves over long bumpy trips with tight suspension :lol:

Anyway thought I should let you all know I fixed the problem, and also it's a good to know how to tweak the idle of your car if it's abit off.
