Branko had a similiar motor years ago. Silver MR SOHC 4G93 lancer that was built by TurboWorX and ran mid 11s!

that is correct.. however it takes about 1 1/2hrs to change boxes.. just buy one and use it for drag and one for street ;)

well i guess just take it to a gearbox joint get them to strip it.. check it that its ok.. and weld the dif up... you'd probably be up for around $400 - $800 maybe? that would mainly be labour!

honestly i have no idea.. if your looking at spending upwards of 1k.. you may aswell buy an evo 5-6 box.. put a viscious coupling locker in it and drive it like that.. those boxes r tough!

I thought I should get around to making the proper introductions at some point...so here it is:

I'm from Brisbane, up here in sunny Queensland. I've had my '96 CE lancer for like almost 6 years now and i've been slowly doing bits and pieces to it every now and again.

It originally started out completely bare stock standard rolling around on only 13's and a 4g15 to power it along. But times soon got boring and I was looking for more fun.

About 3 years ago I put a stock 4g93 in with only simple mods of cold air intake, extractors, bigger exhaust, all tuned with an EMS, and then added 16's and lowered king springs for it to ride on. The improvement was pretty impressive at the time. These mods took it from the factory standard 86kw to 110kw with pretty awesome response.

My next step was cosmetic. I added the blend of an evo 6 replica bonnet, droid kit front bar, lancer mr side skirts and rear pods, and then topped it off with my own randomly designed vinyl's. Check it out in the pics.

Anyway, my latest project over this last year has been building my own project 4g93 SOHC turbo. Basically I picked up an extra complete 4g93 engine, stripped it all down completely, got everything balanced, and then rebuilt it using GSR pistons and rods. As for a turbo, a few years ago I picked up a t25g-t2554r hybrid (basically t25g housings, but with t2554r turbines and ball bearing cartrige).

At the moment, i've just got lots of little bits and pieces to get done, and then hopefully I should be able to get it all finished these holidays.[awesome bro good luck with it all;)]
