the cheaper prices are because of the laws in melbourne. good for older people. bad as most of the time p-platers were driving these.

Sorry to burst your bubble there Rob cant go past the Aristo with its 2J powerplant as theyre about the same price but unfortunately with GSR's and VR4's for that matter theyre harder to move as the newer EVOs are getting cheaper and the humble GSR has lost alot of value over time as i had one for 5yrs and still miss it to this day.

Real shame as you'd have more chance selling a Commodore with peoples attitudes these days

its a REB or REP (rebuild/repair number) so it can only be reg in vic and qld from my knowledge.

As JSTYLE said above. JDM car that was rebuilt. I know that VIC/QLD allow registration of these. i dont know how it works in other states.. (I had one, and it ended up in QLD).

REbuild is

Purchase GSR from japan
bring it in
Rebirth or rebuild a written off car (Get a smashed GSR that has been written off and put it on the JDM GSR Shell, claim all repaired, engineered etc)
Register.

So its a JDM GSR with ADM registration. make sense?

Alot of these have or are being recalled by Vic Roads to be checked. usually you can not bring in a vehicle for registration that is

a) already sold locally
b) Has a similar version sold locally.

Thus why evo i - iii are not eligable for import under SEVS as the ADM GSR is "TO ALIKE"
