Jspec Vr4 28,000kms

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

Did anyone else notice the extra $4527 they bumped onto the price?

688,000 (F.O.B) = $6,573!!

NOT $11,100!!!

scam artists!!!

the price is 688,000 yen FOB which works out to be around $11,100 landed including shipping, import duty, GST and our service fee

They're not scam artists, they're running a business.

Is that what they charge for complience, shipping, administration costs, transport insurance, rego etc? I think the $11,100 is a drive away price with J-Spec. I'm guessing the FOB price is what they actually buy the car for at the auction.

I'm a bit suprised that the $11,000 price is excluding compliance though, usually they charge about 2,500 for compliance

Just read it again and you are right Tharaka. $11,100 Without complience and rego! But i suppose, with 20,000km on the clock, it's basicly a brand new car. The new car smell might have worn off though!

F.O.B means that shipping is included in the price. Somehow I dont think the service fee ($1000) import duty and GST comes to $4527!

Look at this car for example...

http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/10127

Thats more like it, all the prices add up!

Perhaps its a typo, maybe that price, DOES include compliance.........

i'd hope so, otherwise that is a lot of money without compliance

A mess?
I'd rather have a prefacelift than an A spec, but I'd rather have a facelift than a either.

Wiring loom is all completely different....
Shifter and cables are all different...
Smaller Brake Booster...

They are the "1990" in the DSM world...

You forgot "less polution crap to go wrong" :D
Upgrade the ecu and front callipers/ rotors in a prefacelift and how have a much better base to start with than an A spec, and usualy with less kms on the clock.

But I'm biassed, I prefer my prefacelift J spec to my old A spec.

But, even if that price is complied, it is too dear. I paid $11 000 for mine, 4 years ago, from a dealer, complied and registered and it had 34 000 km on the clock. You can't tell me that they have appreciated in price.

Don't get me wrong, I love my pre-facelift, but there are a few little annoying things.

Also the pre-facelift has the cool colour changing dash 8)

:smt108 ??

Yeah, they've got this neat little button next to the speedo which changes the backlight of the instrument cluster from orange to green. A totally useless feature, but one of my favourites ! lol. The marketing department at MMC Japan must have been in full swing the day they thought that one up ....

Will store that advice up re which vr4 to get for when I get back to Oz and am looking for my next vr4.
