Just got my new evo 1 brakes

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

VR4 calipers have slightly smaller pistons than the Evo's.

I compared a set of VR4 ones to my Evo ones.

take it and count your losses.

when you get his return address, get someone in his area to drop a gearbox off in his driveway.

pf boys will understand that one.

He wants me to prove that they arent the right brakes.

well for a start you have 2x lh ones....pretty simple really.

ask him if he has a rh one to suit either of the 2 he has already sent you.

i have but he is positive that they are right and will bolt straight on so i sent him a email with the pics.

My mate may have a pair (as in LHS and RHS :p) of rear EVO calipers. We got them to put on his CE coupe but he sold it and got an EVO7, so as far as I know they're still sitting in storage somewhere.

:lol::p:thumbsup: Gold!

like i told everyone else, just get a pair of verada twin pot calipers = $50 a pair. SAME as evo except they have the vr4-spec hydraulic fitting.

Then go to your local ABS and get some adr approved braded lines made up to suit, $60 a side. Adds up cheaper than evo calipers!

Man, if it makes you feel any better, Japan Autos in Clontaff Brisbane ripped me off with a pair of coil-overs... Advertised as good condition, got them, fitted them, discovered the fronts were completely dead... would not have a bar of me or help me out.

He is located north melbourne i think as his profile said....

Yeah that does make me feel a little better buddy sorry to hear about your coilovers....this guy is getting pretty worried about bad feedback now so i think ill get my money back...fingers crossed.

Were they HKS ones?

yeah they were, they were being sold over Ebay and through the shop. They were completely cactus, but described as good condition.

The non banjo style can also be off a TR TS Magna or KR KS Verada with ABS they are exactly the same as above I have them fitted to my car. I bought Kits for them through ABS they are made by/ Come from MCX Brake parts Part No KX3427S bout $30-$40. MCX are at Wynumn in Brisbane you may be able to deal direct with them.

Nah they are useless two left calipers ...I'm still looking for a Evo set
