Hey all

I have a 4g63 2L carby express van, a 1994 model, that im sure is the 7 bolt crank

motor needs a rebuild, so while i rebuilt it slowly at work, i have a spare motor i would like to put it

its a 6 bolt 4g63 sohc turbo out of something. not 100% sure what though

what i need to know is will my gearbox bolt up to this motor

and can i use my clutch from the 7 bolt motor, i know the flywheel i cant.

Thanks

hi mate
throw ur location in your profile for us.
mate if u wanna re build a engine like that u would be better off putting a evo engine in it would work out alot cheaper in the long run

Hey, im from australia, in sydney, its more or less i want to rebuild the motor in my van it wont cost me much at all as im a mechanic, yet realy have little time to do much at the moment, so i was just going to change the manifolds over on the turbo motor (low comp so shit for na, yet it would still work)
to get around until my normal motor is rebuilt, not realy interested in modification to this van at the moment either.

wat sort of express is it? SJ SF SH ?

if its any of the above they are 310mm dow to dow.. youd need to measure the motor you have dow to dow to figure out if it will bolt on. it will either be 310 or 330mm.

Are you shure ???as 310 is a narrowblock and fwd 330 is wideblock and rwd
