Later model crank, rods and pistons query

IMO its fine to run no squirters with forgies. In saying that I also have ceramic coated crowns on the pistons (which is not expensive)

Im sure the extra oiling helps in the thrust area with the full groove aswell though.

Also nice tight bearing clearances Im sure help too. It might sound strange as you would think larger ones would allow more oil in, but bigger clearance also means room for the crank or rod to move and actually squeeze the oil away from the bearing , smaller clearances help to stop that happening.

*When I say small I mean minimum factory clearance
 
I don't have a 7 bolt crank but do have a 2300 lb PP (from memory from "have a chat " at Stones Corner Jim Berry) and always put car in neutral whenever stationary in traffic so there is zero load on the trust bearings as I think rightly or wrongly ?? that that is the best way to make the TB's last .
