Whats everyones preference?

I wanna hook up launch control on my car, but dont have an idea about how to hook 1 up etc

Im running a Haltech E8, i know theres an Anti-lag setup on there where u can set a Rally application or a Launch application

Also i know a few mates running a Gizzmo launch controller and a Bee*R limiter, what are these like??

Then theres these ----> http://www.ebay.com/itm/RUSH-RACING-DEVELOPMENT-ANTILAG-LAUNCH-CONTROL-/150642252767?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item2312fa5bdf

I run ECMLink and have used Anti-lag before. In my experience, if your not drag racing or wanting that extra launch/boost off the line, just use launch control. Anti-lag has it's benefits but also has its cons. I've destroyed a ebay 20g with Anti-lag, might or might not of been the cause of it but allot of people admit that anti-lag is no good for turbo's. The Bee*r Limiters I'm sure those systems just cut ignition, which makes loud back fires out the exhaust, its a simple system but a true anti-lag system has more behind it. Being able to retard or advance ignition + fuel enrichment can really get the turbo spooling on the line.

Cheers for the reply, so basically the 1 inbuilt in the haltech will be the best, as it will retard and advance the timing

Yes the inbuilt ones with aftermarket ECU's would benefit allot better seeing that the ecu sees every single input and sensor on the motor, so it can retard timing or hold it at a set timing, add fuel. It's also good to check if you get any knock too, which other systems wouldn't see, but the ecu would.

Depends on the application. Launch control and Antilag are very different things, for very different uses.

Launch control is obviously only for getting off the line consistently, whereas antilag is for keeping the turbo spooling hard in on/off throttle situations so the engine always has full boost available at a prod of the loud pedal - which is why it is used in Rallying.

Antilag isn't really required for drags, but launch control is very handy. But any Rally pilot would throw launch control away if they had to make a choice between it and Antilag.

I have the anti-lag on my Haltec E8 hooked up but is disabled as my setup is very responsive and deemed not necessary. Can u tune the agressiveness of anti-lag, that way u could basically set it up as just launch control. Will speak to my tuner through the next week and ask about it.
