Hey guys,

Is there a way to set up Launch Control on a Cable driven Throttle Body?? Or can I just use some form of electric Motor Drive on a standard Cable Throttle Body (Aka conversion) and hook up my Launch Control like that??

Yeah for the moment, looking at Centrifugal Supercharger by converting an AirResearch by Garrett Turbocharger into a Centrifugal with ceramic bearings, though I may simply run oil to it and be done with the idea. Gotta get the turbo and pull it apart first.

Yeah, I have RPM Limit, Launch Control, and Flat Shifting.

That said, the way the principle has been described to me is that if I set Launch Control, I will then press my foot flat to the floor, but only get optimum launch revs. With an electronic throttle I can see how this would work by intercepting the signal, but with a cable throttle, I could have my throttle open 100%, but my ECU only delivering say, 50% max fuel...so in effect, I'd badly lean out.

It'll work the sane as your rev limiter :) just a lower setting. Controlled by ecu. The way I see it, the ecu interrupts timing do it stops firing at certain rpm so it stops climbing.

Rpm limit on advanced ecus will give you an option. You can either:
1. Ignition cut
2. fuel cut
3. Ignition and fuel cut

Yeah, mine doesn't have ignition and fuel :( which is a shame considering it's $2000 of aftermarket ECU :fuuuuu: I have the option of Ignition OR Fuel...so given the choice of Not firing or Leaning out...I'll take not firing personally.
