I did a leakdown test on my 4G93T this week and I think the results mean it's rebuild time.
Cylinder 1,3,4 have about 15>25% leakage. But Cylinder 2 has 40% leakage according to a cheap leakdown tester. The tester says 0>40% = high and 40>60 = moderate.
The leakage shouldn't be more then 10->15% right? Ofcourse I've put the cylinders on TDC. Also on the second cylinder you could hear a lot of more leakage going through also the Air Compressor had a harder time keeping up the pressure.
I think the air is going passed the piston rings, but I still have to closely inspect where it's coming from. (be it intake valves, exhaust valves, water or crank case)
How much is considered a healthy leakage?
The car runs fine on boost, but I've had a problem with what seems like 1 cylinder wasn't firing along. But that problem went away just like it came.
