Anyone tried using a link plus g1 computer on their vr4 ? It's a direct plug in to standard loom . there is a new one for sale for $750 .
Any feed back appreciated

I am using a G3 Plus, with a Firmware upgrade to a G4.

Personally, i would stay away from the earlier Links, only because the software improved so much with the later ones.

G3 upgraded or G4 would be where i start. They are cheap enough anyway, top of the line should be under $1500.

ViPec are basically Links as well.

Thanks guys there was a g1 on trade me for $850 new, but I decided that I will either go g4 link or try ecmlink . I have heard its a bit hard finding tuners in brisbane to tune the ecm? Any advice?

Even Link would like to leave pre G3 links forgotten in the past. They are shit, that is soo expensive for one to. You could get a brand new link G4 Atom for not much more and would have a top notch ecu. I dont think you will get a better value for $$ EUC than a G4, they were doing extremes for 1600$ not long ago.

ViPec are basically Links as well.

Link owns vipec, vipec ecu boards start life as link ecu boards. They are the same bar a few small software changes on the links (no mixture map std)

Interesting reading. I will definitely go for the G4.Its seems pretty good value for money.
Thanks for all the help!
