Location of fuel pump

Can anyone guide me to the location of HSG fuel pump and fuel filter? with some description or steps to removing it.

Any tips while removing the fuel pump? eg. do not smoke!

meanwhile, i might add
if you remove drivers seat and centre console you can peel the carpet back enough so you dont have to cut the carpet it where he has.
you will need to unbolt the rear seat though.

i might try removing the whole rear seat and remove the carpet from the back. how does that sound?

yep, sounds good.

doesnt hurt to pull the carpet right back and check your floor for rust and prep it.
always good.

I pulled out the carpet and the floor got a black coating on it. looks like sound proof material to me.

i also found a hole with a plug at the rear floor. I think its to drain water off if your car got flooded ahaha!

Weird, mine didn't have sound proofing. Just the foam padding and carpet.

That plug is normal. I think it's for the spare wheel carrier off the older gen RVR's or the nimbus... the one that sat under the car

Changing the pump (especially with a Walbro) is pretty straight forward. I certainly didn't cut any carpet to get to mine! Just remove the rear seat - it gives you heaps of room to work with. Make sure you don't drop any contaminants in the fuel cell whilst you have it open. The bolts on the lines will be nice and tight - have fun, and let us know how you go! Cheers
