becoz it is the unknown!! you can have all the drag days u like but they won't compete with a good night on the street!! Coz u go to a drag day u know what to expect (fast cars) and u get to see how they run lalalalalala etc. Where as u roll up on sum1 in the street or vice versa the outcome is not clear yet!!! And if u loose u have to deal with ur mates giving u shit!!!

Its venting to stick it up to the Commonwhore drivers who all seem to wanna egg you on when they pull up or plant the accelerator alongside you. I probably speak for everyone out there when I say that I dunno what it is about Commonwhore drivers but they all seem to think that they rule the road :lol: Most of the time I think 'what a wanker' and let them carry on being dickheads while I do nothing. I dont condone street racing as it's not so cool if you get busted or somebody gets hurt, but driving to the speed limit is OK in my books :wink:

I am a member of a Commodore forum also (because of the VN) and it is funny to see them bag out 4cyl engines, and then to be here (because of my 4G63 Sonata) and what the other side bag them out too ...

I will just say tho, that not all Commodore drivers are like that, and I know that not all 4cyl drivers are as bad as what the Commodore drives are like...

At the end of the day, we are all car enthusiasts, and should have the ability to appreciate each others rides and overlook the fact that the are V8, V6's or whatever they have...

Anyway, continue on ....

i prolly should have said falcodore enthusiasts, as most are mums, dads & business ppl(lease cars) & are perfectly good drivers who cause no one any problems, ( not intentially anyway )

& i'll tell ya what! i watched that show on the making of the new comode & they have really upped the stakes in the aussie made car market, im almost tempted to say that theyv made a good car this time.... only tempted tho!

time will tell how good the ve & successors are.

traction control is nothing new or hard to implement. All they do is fuck up the power output so it makes it shitful to drive.

traction control is usually an extra butterfly valve just after the throttle body that snaps shut when the abs sensors detect a loss of traction

Yeah, the new c'dores are pretty nice...

The funny thing is that most of the bagging on the c'dore forums is based around Hyundai's .... But everyone seems to bag them ... Which I am kind of use to after being a Hyundai owner for almost 10 years now.... And in the 8 years of my car running as a stock Hyundai, it only ever had the clutch replaced once, the power steering pump replaced, and a set of bearings at the front... Other then, that trouble free (*touch wood* )....

How many commodore drivers can say that....

mmmm i used to own a commodore... i found them to be really nice to drive... the only prob with them is their weight... i had the choise of a VT SS for $15,000 or a Lancer GSR... choose a GSR cause they r light weight n 4 wheel drive... always i got cought doing burnouts by my parents n had them in tears... so i kinda wanted to get away from RWD's... but yeah i know what ya mean with 4cly turbo;s bagging commodores,,, when commodores would be doing the same thing... but after owning my gsr all i have had it COMMODORES after commodores wanting a run... talk about Time waisters... plus i dont wanna loose my licence again... thats why i'll stay on the track

but good topic to talk about LOLz...
