My mate just bout a full stock 94 GSR and it has a major surging issue, when the motor gets warm as soon as you hit boost the hole car violently jerks continuely until you release the throttle, ive replaced the afm and given the car a full major service, I think it is turbo related, it runs and drives mint only under boost it plays up, is there anyone local to rowville that can have a look and maybe swap same parts over to help us out, this issue is starting to do my head in

Thank Craig

I checked shaft play on the intake side and it had no shaft play, im thinking maybe the exhaust side is the issue, as it warms up it expands and may be hitting something and stopping the turbo from spinning?

Running stock boost, I haven't really checked for a boost leak due to the fact of it only happens when warm, if it had a leak it would happen all the time?

It's possible, yes. You may have a leak that's more noticeable as your engine bay heats up and pipework expands, etc.

To be truthful, boost leak tests should be a regular check on turbo cars. I'd even suggest more regular than oil changes.

It's also still a chance that it's spark related.

(You also shouldn't really be hitting boost when cold either.)

Ill check for a leak this weekend is there anyone local to rowville that can maybe swap a coil pack over just to test I don't wanna go spending money that I don't need too

Good work guys, I remembered that the car had a little hit in the front end right where the cooler is so we pulled the front bar off and the cooler and what did I find

Thanks for your help guys
