What's the max hp you can safely push through a 6 bolt with standard mains bolts. Considering pulling the motor down and giving it a freshen up and arp mains but if the standard ones are tough as I won't bother
Thanks
Brad

There is a mains girdle available too, i think its a kiggly. i don't know at what level this would be required as well.
Obviously a short stroke and lighter rods and piston will require less beef, but heavy gear, big boost and big revs will need a tough mains area.

If you plan on taking it apart, might as well upgrade. For less then $150ish, its a good investment..

Deff plastiguage it all. Give it all a bloody good check before pushi g big numbers through it

Don't forget. With Mains, you'll need an align hone the block due to torque spec increase.

So you might as well go kiggly girdle at the same time.

Think I might just build myself another short block. I've come this far might as well do it properly. Hey Baz got any power figures yet

I wouldnt bother unless 500whp+ or 2.3/2.4L. I run Arps in my 7 bolt van block ( no crank girdle like evo, all caps individual) and didnt line bore but did measure each one to see if it was out of round and they were all close enough.

from my point of view i think Obviously a brief activity and less huge allows and assistance will need less space, but huge devices, big improve and big revs will need a complicated mains position . . . . . . . .
