Meek ECU chip

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

I have the chip..

not sure about boost cut, but i know for sure that my max. speed limit is set to 300km/h  - which of course ill never hit

I use to have an EMS stinger ECU and hated it (then again it may have been the tuners i guess).. the std ecu with chip starts better, idles better, currently im running a bit rich but the thing hasnt missed a beat and i havent even done a full tune on it yet

i also got to retain the standard green turbo light on the instrument cluster/dash :D , whereas that feature wasnt working when i had the EMS

lol at the green light, eye lid rice boy :p

that's coz you have a 93-94 GSR ECU now

yeh i had the chip, was freakin awesome! so easy to tune/ take in out/ set VR4 bits and walbro

highly recommend

PS I'm seeling my ECU that's already been bayed and chipped and tuned for TD05 VR4 injectors and walbro etc

Due to my build being a tad more serious for it's applications

i havent got one of 'meeks' specific chips.. but chips are the same:

its just the tune that is dif, but taht depends on the mods.,

I have a custom chip on my gsr lancer.. runs great,.

560cc injectors
hiflow turbo
4g93t

result is 230KW ATW
peak power is 6500rpm

has run 12.1 @ 115mph.

I can modify a chip for your needs if you want.. or give you a demo some live tuning software.

Has anyone else got a meek ecu chip? I'm interested in how they perform and what they control. Rev limit, speed limiter, boost cut etc?

Awesome I've had one running the 4g93t and updated through out all of its upgrades, now have the same ecu firing up the 63t and I'm logging it as well one of the biggest reasons I run one on the 63t.

So the GSR ECU lights up the green light on the dash but not the Evo ECU?

My 3 ecu doesn't light up anything.

sif u need a green light to tell you your turbos kicked in! :p

so do meeks customize the chip to suit your mods? like if u gave em a list of what u got they can make the chip match the mods? coz at the moment i got a ralliart chipped ecu and its running waaay too rich im guessing its not compensating for the walbro fuel pump

So JSTYLE how do you learn about all this stuff? Are there resources on the internet that would be sufficient to get a basic understanding of how to do this stuff? We burn EPROM's at work but I don't really know much about them. We modify the content written on the chip, like they simply change some of the hex values at certain addresses for different applications. Of course, the only way we know what values to put in and at what address, is to read the machine manual! :D
So I'm just wondering is this system similar? And also, how do you guys know where/what to modify? I'm interested in the whole idea, and would like to earn more about it.

Thanks. :)

sorry to jump in here but have a question

will a standard ecu "chipped" run a 2.3 stroker and cope with 272 cams and 20g. I ve been thinking of getting a ostrich but not sure wether to just get a link or haltech and then have it tuned.

any thoughts

Speak to ENGINR on here.

He has pretty much the same setup, (storker, cams, turbo) and is running a chipped ecu tuned by Creatd with no worries.

I'm sure he'll be glad to fill you in.

It certainly will - and provided you get the right tune for it you will get very very good results.

My thoughts - I have the exact same setup as what's described above and in all honesty after driving mine with a decent tune I would not think of wasting the $$$ on buying, installing and tuning an aftermarket ECU for what I use the car for.

I first got a MEEK chip in my E2 ECU and he wrote it for the specs I gave him, however it was waaaay too rich (ie very very 'SAFE') and given the car was in Melbourne and the chip written in Sydney - what else could I expect? I got my chip re-written and tuned here in Melbourne and the results were, for want of a better word - AWESOME. The car has absolutely come alive and the best thing is I've retained all the factory programming for things like knock, coldstart, idle, even the green boost light 8) etc).

Think about what you want out of the car, but IMO if you want something simple, reliable, comfortable to drive, relatively fuel efficient and will take advantage of a medium level of modifications done to the engine - then go a chip. Obviously if you want outright horsepower, a drag weapon, have wild wild modifications, or just chasing the 'wank factor' of saying "I got a Haltech or Motec (or whatever)" then an aftermarket is probably more the go.

Have you tried running a stock ECU? If the injectors and reg are standard E3 items then I doubt the pump will cause it to run rich.

What makes a Ralliart chip different from a non-Ralliart chip?

it ran rich with both ecus, not sure of the exact differences, but i know it alters the timing and boost

From my understanding, it removes the factory boost cut, speed cut, more aggressive timing, and higher rev limit.
