Anybody got pics of the MEEK lifters? I'm interested in the side shots and if possible, comparison to the standard EVO lifters (are they shorter, have a bigger groove etc?)

same height groove is a tiny bit bigger but bloody hell the hole in the top is around 3 x larger than stock lifters bro,

Ive never bothered to take photo's because no one I know has needed to see pics to convince them they are a bloody awesome upgrade...
after you fit them you will forget all about lifter tick thats for sure.

I might have a shot with them installed without cam lobes on them but not the lifters side by side with a stock one, I know Meek posted what your asking years ago though but good luck finding the pic's

I will look though my pics for you OK

Damm Baz going back into your build post brings back dome old memories so Q: is she on the street yet?

That's exactly what I was looking for Baz - thanks heaps. I believe the spare set I have (which I purchased from the 'States ages ago) are the middle set (are they the 2G version?) because I remember not installing them in the stroker because when I compared them to the stock EVO lifters I was concerned with the difference in height.

So why are the 3G USA ones shorter than the 3G AUS ones and OEM ones??

Also on Bazengs page i noticed he's using EVO8 rocker arms... whats the advantages??

the later evo rocker arms are pressed steel and are alot lighter:thumbsup:- i found this out by accident when i was building my engine and need a new set of inlet rockers and got these ones- i had to buy the other 8 then to match.

not cheap though:thumbsdown::eek:

I think the ones in the middle might be 2G ones.

The 3g ones should be the same size.
I bought a set from Ebay and they have been quiet as a kitten for almost 3 years now :)
I bought mine from engnbldr on Ebay.

Where do i purchase them from :)

You didnt make sence. you said you got the rockers by mistake then had to buy 8 more to match?? did you only find 8 the 1st time :p

The 2nd ones could be 2G ones.. I purchased them as 3G ones but who knows.....
I've purchased a few sets prior to the 3G type ones I bought locally.. They all worked fine... The noise was actually piston slap instead of lifters..

If you require a set mate, let me know, I can order them for you locally....

What DOUGMO meant was that he purchased 8 only and they didn't match the existing 8 he had so he had to purchase a full set of 16.

It cost about 1k for the set of 16.

What's wrong with the rockers you've got in it at the moment Mik?

Baz - Appreciate the offer mate. What price can you get them for? I'd prefer to go local then pay postage if I can.

Nothings wrong with mine, i think the ones i have in the new head i got should be fairly new anyway as the complete head was reco'd

I will need some 3g lifters though

Some Lifter info from vfaq:

"The first version of lifters used on early 1Gs (possibly up to early 2Gs) had extremely small top holes. The second version had a top hole about 3-4 times larger, and a larger groove on the side. First version is on the left, second on the right. Note that the second version was also slightly shorter in total height than the first. The third and latest version (as of 2004) is the same total height as the first version, has a top hole the size of the second version, and a side oil feed hole larger than the first or second version for even more oil flow to the followers."
