Is anybody here currantly experiencing internet problems, such as not able to sign in msn, also is your phishing filter box at the bottom of the screen marked with a red cross.

Also not able to sing in high secure websites, do you have pop ups and certificate notification issues, alerts. Ive noticed a few days ago, everyone had issues, maybe its come again.

 THIS happened to me.

Its a desktop hijacker you have
All I can say is save ALL of your important shit and emails.

RE-FORMAT/rescue disc.

I tried using those webkill things no go.

UNLESS there is any computer nerds/gurus out there that know how to kill it....

Goodluck...........

My sisters computer had the same problem, so did a friends computer. I looked at a lot of different things and fixes off the internet but nothing worked. I even tried to see if there was something with the antivirus firewalls that when it updated stopped MSN from working and couldnt really find anything. In the end I ended up removing their antivirus programs anyway just to check to see if it was the cause. I installed the free version of AVG antivirus, ran a scan and kiiled some viruses and walah!!! both of their MSN's worked immediately :D Both were running Norton AV so obviously their virus definitions never picked anything up. I've given Norton's the thumbs down lately, and even tried AV's like BitDefender and Kaspersky. Kasperspy had NO facility to open my ports in Utorrent so that got uninstalled, and BitDefender caused my computer to slow down dramatically over time (I run Vista) and once it was removed the computer was running quick again. I use both AVG now and NOD32 at once - a great combo :) Vista's got some good security features inbuilt including Windows Defender and I havent had any dramas (yet). If anyone hasnt installed an awesome program called 'Registry Mechanic" on their computers yet, you're crazy!! Its a great program, cleans up da shit, fixes errors, and speeds up the computer again - I run it once a week! :D

When doing the Microsoft update search, the scanned result showed that my time and date were out of sync, So i go to the date and time option and it showed that my computer was currantly at the 2002 level, and just complety wrong according to the windows net time and date.

So i cheanged it back to currant date and time, and all my issues went were all gone, i just cant belive it.

My analysis conclusion: I belive that due to the date and time being in the 2002 era, i reckon it didnt know that i had msn and would not connect, and possibly causing the certificate issues too, Had me stumped :?:

Wierd... sometimes shit just happens and you have no explanation why  A long time family friend of ours now works for Microsoft support in Sydney so hopefully he could fill me in on some things from time to time 8)

i used to work for them up until a month ago.
whenever theres a problem signing into msn or any secure sites such as hotmail or netbank etc etc, we usually run a batch file with this in it:

regsvr32 wuapi.dll /s
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll /s
regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll /s
regsvr32 wucltui.dll /s
regsvr32 wups.dll /s
regsvr32 wuweb.dll /s
regsvr32 softpub.dll /s
regsvr32 wintrust.dll /s
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll /s
regsvr32 browseui.dll /s
regsvr32 urlmon.dll /s
regsvr32 scrrun.dll /s
regsvr32 msxml.dll /s
regsvr32 msxml2.dll /s
regsvr32 msxml3.dll /s
regsvr32 mshtml.dll /s
regsvr32 msjava.dll /s
regsvr32 mssip32.dll /s
regsvr32 jscript.dll /s
regsvr32 vbscript.dll /s
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll /s
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll /s
regsvr32 Shell32.dll /s
regsvr32 dssenh.dll /s
regsvr32 rsaenh.dll /s
regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll /s
regsvr32 sccbase.dll /s
regsvr32 slbcsp.dll /s
regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll /s
regsvr32 initpki.dll /s

then test it again
these just re-register Internet explorer dlls , a lot related to secure site dlls, windows update dlls, it was a multipurpose fix file.
obviously the problem can be a million other things such as spyware (very high cause of problems like that) etc etc etc etc. but this was always our first step and would at least fix 1/3 of callers with sign in issues for both MSN and secure sites

anyway give it a go you got nothing to lose.
