Okkk I know lying is bad and this may seems silly to others and no one wants a yellow sticker!

I recently bought my car, and it came with a mod permit. Pretty much a list of things are approved to be fitted on the car as you can see. Now I'm in the process of getting a bigger turbo setup, diff manifold with wastegate... things will be poking in/out  and they are not listed on the mod permit.

I was thinking add the few items on the list myself continue down the list (forgin the list) and make it a worth while before cops stop you for a yellow sticker <_<. I need to know does the cops relay back to the vechile dept to check what list of items i meant to have on the spot? Or save the trouble no forin n DONT GET CAUGHT?

unless the officers that get you are on a donkey drawn cart with flat batteries in the radios ...they will have the on-board computer that has access to the data base of registered vehicles.

unless you like the company of other individuals of the same sex as part of your sleeping arrangements......don't do it as it is an old ploy and permit are always against the data base..

Remember.....If you play with fire, then you get burnt! Dont do it!!!!!!! It could come back to bite you in the ass one day. And in the unlikely event of a major accident, there is a chance your insurance company could find out and void your insurance...and if that happens.....I hope nobody has suffered bodily injury in the accident. Like i said, it may be unlikely.......but i know of two people who have had this happen ( i work in the insurance fraud detection industry).

Agreeing with warbo here, I've been in insurance underwriting and claims for the past 5 years. If detected, insurers will try to get out of anything and rightly so. You lie, you get caught, you deal with it!

Additionally, here in WA, not sure the case for all states, if the copper has reason to believe something's not legal (permit or not) he/she will sticker you. Ya know, just to get it 'checked out'... I wouldn't risk it, and the mod permit I had on the S13 I treated like it was a plain sheet of useless paper anyway.

Thanks for the advice guys! This has been really helpful, and I'm leaving the permit as it is.

Pod filter is approved??? fitment of 2 gauges on the A-pillar? Catch can? (as long as its not externally venting!).
That mod report sounds suss as it is

The good thing about the mod report is that it doesnt clarify exactly what the mods look like or what car it came from. You could fit any intercooler on if you really wanted to, depends if photos were taken when the mod report was done.
But I agree, dont add or change a thing to the list!! I know in NSW at least the RTA is provided a copy for file by the engineer when the mods have been signed off. It is then scanned and input into the system and a code is printed on your rego papers/label to signify the car is modified. The Police can bring up and cross-reference the engineer report through their in-car computers! I can confirm this 100% as true fact.

You can still do what you want to do and it doesnt have to be listed on the mod report. Just grab a GTPumps exhaust manifold, get a 20G wheel put into a big 16G TD05 turbo (as found in EVO III and some RVR's), plus an OEM replacement 1.2 bar TD05 wastegate off Ebay. Throw on some larger EVO injectors, AFM and a socketed ECU and have it tuneed to suit. It'll all look stock because it is using stock parts!! Except the exhaust manifold, but it looks stock anyway. Easy 200kw+ atw is there and no one will ever be the wiser and therefore doesnt have to be written on the mod permit.

I've bought a turbo kit off a forum member here, so the oem parts are coming off...... Im wondering how many ppls get pull over by cops with a RVR? i know for fact yellow sticker is painstaking! Been those situation before, a bit of wear on seat they want you to change the whole seat. Its just crazyyy

RVR 97 I think at the end of the day the yellow sticker issue is going to happen if you drive like a twat - not that I am saying you do but if you are doing something to attract attention then it is going to come and follow regardless (I used to get pulled every time I drove my s13 into freo for dinner for window tint as it was an easy target due to everything else being signed sealed and delivered - regardless of legality - which it was (just)). However at the end of the day all the police see are a MINI VAN!!! with a hole in the exhaust and a idle issue and that makes life a little easier :D

For the approvals you have can one assume your pod filter is in a sealed enclosure - as this is what was required for my s13 approval
