Hi guys i have a 92 cc lancer coupe with 4g fuel injected engine and was wondering what engine and gearbox from later model lancer i can put in with out any major changes just bascially drop straight in ?
 
Ccs have a few options. Can't go anything above though like Ce coznthe motors are the other way around. U have a 1.6l yeah. Few options. Go a 1.8 and u don't need an engineers report. Or. Go a 4g63 from an Evo (turbo) with a far box. It'll drop straight in and just a little bit of wiring is needed. And exhaust helps too as ur stock one will be a restriction. U can go a galant or vr4 4g63 but will have to change ur engine mount. But all boxes bolt up.

FYI sometime latest being may I'll have a n/a 4g63 for sale for $500 and also a gearbox for 700 that fit perfectly. (they are currently in my cc coupe. All with ecu clutch. In putting u will need is extractors. I'll also be selling after market genie ones for 300 and then that should be everything u need besides labor. But if u don't want extractors just get some stickies fairly cheap I'd imagine :) Clutch and flywheel are a few months old too.
 
if you have a 1.5 now you also have to take into account the fuel pump etc... but as above a 1.8 is easy
 
If it's already efi it should be fine with the fuel pump. I'm running a Glxi one. But walbro ones u can pic up fairly cheap
 
look into 4g93T from gsr lancer or 4g63T from evo i'd recomend goiong the 63T route as i'm half way through a 93T conversion and parts are a bitch to fond around me
 
Welcome mate, 1st of all you have a good base model to start with

There are a fair few engine you can throw into the car, i'll list the engines below, the best way to do the conversions are by buying complete front cuts and transfering everything electrical/mechanical onto your car

6A12TT is from 7th Gen Galant VR-4.

Its 2ltr V6 TWIN TURBO (TT)

6 = V6
A = aloy head
12 = no idea :)
TT = Twin turbo

Your cc coupe will probably fly if u put this 0n there Gianni ;)

Did vr4s get a v6 aswell as the 4g63. I didn't know that. I new some magnas dis but that's it.

When the Lancer took over the 4G63 after the Galant, the (E84A) Galant went to a 6A12TT, which is a 2.0 V6 TT.

I have a CC GSR and the motor is stuffed - 1st the turbo fails and now blowing smoke everywhere so likely needs new piston,rings rebore/sleeve etc.

My preferred solution is to get another 4G93T and drop it in. I did a ring around this morning with no luck but a couple of leads. Does anyone have a running 4G93T they could sell me? If not where could I find one and how much should I expect to pay?

People tell me a 4G63 is about $2,500 but don't really wanna do that because then I need to change intercoolers, ECUs etc.

Another solution is to get my engine rebuilt. Again any ideas on what I might pay for say a new set of pistons and rings assuming I give the motor (out of the car) to a workshop with the head already taken off??

Any feedback would be appreciated.
