MRLNCR Problem

A guy from Adelaide has just bought the well known MRLNCR from sydney and was passing through but Wagga but it died.. For those who dont know its a 2door Lancer with EVO4 engine and drivetrain. VEEEERY smick! I do have some pics of it but i duno how to post them, but anyways, he pulled up to a set of lights and it just died. He tried turnin it over but it was like it just kept trying to turn over, almost like it would when a immobiliser is on.. The car is at a mechanics now but i just thought some one here might have some ideas on what it'd be?

if its turning over and not starting, u have to check

1. spark
2. fuel

u need both to start the car

to check fuel, check your
1. fuel pump
2. injectors
i do this by pulling the return line out and turning the car on, it should prime the engine with fuel and fuel should come out of the line (u know the fuel pump works)

as for checking injectors, you have to check the voltage at the wires, is it getting power? is it being grounded?

to check spark, pull out the lead and stick a screw driver in it and sit it on the rocker cover, if it sparks then u know u have spark, if not, then u know thats the problem...

or u could put a spark plug in the lead and look at it that way...
(u should remove the fuel pump relay / fuse when doing this so u dont fire the motor up)

im sure the autoelec will fix it..

Hey guys im the guy that build mrlnce the old owner for the new owner if u have any problems contact me by email [email protected] i know the car inside out ill help u fix the problem. the person u bought the car from is my brother in law i sold it to him then he sold it to u but he dosent know much about it anyways let me know if u need anything oh and yeah i think if u cheak behind the front tyer drivers side u will find your problem i think its the wiring have been damaged from the rubbing of the tyers that whould efect the ecu its the ecu wire kit cheak it it happend to me before
