I only skimmed over it, but did they compare caltex vortex 98 to BP ultimate and Shell optimax and Mobil 8000? Out of those 4, I thought caltex would have been the shittest......... :?

They have concluded that caltex vortex 98 ron is the best in its class.....

the other comparisons were with ethanol, which are suprisingly good also.

and elf is the choice for race fuels

i dont really know the different make up of each fuels
one thing i have noticed is that the vortex 98 fuel has a pretty darn close resemblance to av gas - smell etc

Im pretty sure I read in a Wheels mag that Vortex has the highest RON in Australia - 98.4

Ultimate etc are 98 or slightly less

i tried vortex gold before

was ok, but i think the bp runs better in the car or i could just be paranoid.
