how did you come to this conclusion?

I am aware that some of the sports gear RVRs have DSM style engines......but is yours a sports gear or Hyper. I havent been able to confirm 100% that the hyper is 7 bolt BUT of the hypers I have been under{2 or 3} they have had the 7 bolt front cover and sump
 
Then if my engine is a dsm style what is the difference between dsm and vr4 evo 123 engine? Dose dsm engines have less power and is it limited to most modification on the market?
 
Mitsu went to 7 bolt motors worldwide in '93. There were some oddballs in '92 and '94, but by '96 they were all 7 bolt (unless someone did an engine swap).

There is no downside to 6 bolt motor, it has stronger connecting rods and it DOES NOT CRANKWALK! The only time I saw they CW, was after unsuccessful rebuilt! Can there be an fluke? Sure, but it is extremely rare!
 
Must of been a swop before I got it. And it was running 26psi boost is that safe for a 6bolt since its lower compression. I've riped out a boost controller because I don't want it to blow up unless I'm sure if it can handle it. I'm getting my new turbo this week. New mild steal t3 mani 55mm wastegate and a gt35r turbo. Injectors 550 at the moment. What is suggested boost would you guys recommend on that turbo oh and front mount is going to be installed aswell with 2.5in piping
 
If you are running a GT35R, you could run anything between 25-35psi depending on what your motor can breath.

Being a 6bolt, it would be low comp which means high boost.

As for injectors, what ECU are you planning to run?

Go for something like between 1000-1600cc depending on what fuel you plan to use.

How much power did you want?

1000cc should be good for 300-350kw's on pump 98fuel.
If you are going E85, you'll need something like 1600cc or 2000cc.
 
I not sure what ecu but springy going to surply me with one I'm not sure what but I know it's going to cost about $1100.. I just want 300kw mark. So my injectors now won't run it the 550cc I got now. And my rvr Mite get a 3.5in exhaust made up depending on price.
 
If you are goin to spend that much money, I would recommend ECM Link! It should be cheaper, easy to use and capable of well over 800hp!
 
For 1.1k Im assuming it is an ecm inc the dyno tune. They are good units!

Your 550s wont cut it. Gotta go bigger. You'll also need to upgrade your fuel system to suit.
 
I guess I am not used to people letting shops "put in ECU" without customer's input... Not Mitsu 4G63 customers, anyway :)

Unless you want to be 100% dependent on your tuner, you might want choose your own ECU

I agree, 550's are good for 300-320hp (240kW) max.
 
Is the PTE 780cc injectors suitable or the sard 800cc. I'm getting closer to the end of my budget so I can't get top end stuff. This pass 3months I've spent over 14k on this rvr and it's not worth that much but I can put a price on a car I love :)
 
I completely agree! The reaction that I get from my fast van is simply priceless!!! Where as equally fast EVOs are ignored :)
