Hey all;
I have a Mitsubishi Chariot running a SOHC 4G63, and I'm wondering what would be involved in converting it to DOHC.
I've tried doing research, and from what I can find the DOHC head should theoretically bolt straight on, but the DOHC head runs coil packs where the SOHC runs a dizzy.
It's 16 valve, and I'm fairly sure it's a 1st gen.
What would be involved in converting to DOHC? Would I want a 1G or 2G head? Do the DOHC heads come with the option of a dizzy, or do I need to convert to coil packs and swap the ECU? How much could I expect it to cost if I do the work myself, and will I need to get anything engineered?
Any help, advice, tips or information would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
