Yeah has come time for a re-spray, just wanting to know what others have paid and where they have got it done????

Questions to ask:
Same colour? Yes / no.
If not, are you respraying the whole shell or just the outside?
Engine bay?
Rust repairs?
Any sandblasting needed?
what model car is it?
What colour do you want to go? (Harlequin costs 3 times as much)
Pearls?
Etc...
give us some details and I'll give you a reasonably accurate figure.
Oh and the biggest one... backyarder doing the work or a panel shop? Does it have to be sprayed in a booth and baked?

thanks for the instructions.
White E1. just want the outside done and maybe the engine bay coz i might try and time it when i am getting my engine stregthened. Um would prob go to a shop so if there are any probs i can go back?? And yeah i just want the factory colour again and it will need a booth.

you'd have to strip the engine and related parts out of the bay to have the bay sprayed. Most panelbeaters won't TOUCH engines.
Other than that, the factory colour is pretty much just rub back, spray, clear.
No booth required.
Probably looking around 2-3k. Depends on the workshop. Ask the workshops to see photo's of car's they've done previously to get an idea of their work quality.

i think the guy around the corner does resprays he did my car for me il get you the details when i go past there

rekon we would get a discount if more then one of us go for a respraycos i need a respray too..
as i'm short on cash.. just spray the outside in the same colour (PPG BMW Metallic Lilac) but only on about half the car.. 2 doors, bonnet, 2 guards and my kit (front bar, sideskirts and pods)..
will also need the kit to be put on..
all done to my gsr =D
