Looks like the inevitable has happenned and the time has come for a new clutch. Gonna go Evo 7 onwards clutch/flywheel setup and look at a ceramic or carbon Kevlar based sprung clutch with a HD pressure plate.

Seen 2 brands on eBay from the states 1 being XTR and the other one F1. Both kits come with lightened chrome moly flywheels. Anyone heard bad feedback from these 2 brands?

I want it to still be city drive able so I'm staying right away from puck clutches and multi plate setups.

Personally I'd stay away from eBay and buy local. Support if something goes wrong will be 100% better and you're relying on hoping 1 person has good feedback about the eBay items..plenty of local suppliers to buy from.

if you have under 240kw an exedy hd will be fine, then a lightened flywheel to go with it.

I can get a price on exedy for you if need be.

So thanks to George and Adam from Autobarn Sunbury, need to decide between Exedy HD clutch and lightened flywheel or Xtreme HD clutch and Lightened flywheel.

At least I've stepped right away from the US eBay import kits now.

My new One is in. But bleeding it is driving me nuts. Got the pedal fully adjusted out and it's only just disengaging the clutch.

I personally like puck clutches over organic. Organic just don't have the bite/longevity of a puck for spirited driving... Always better to go over rather than under with clutches...

Ok just ordered the Evo 7 xtreme HD clutch kit with lightened chrome moly flywheel. Does anyone have a spare clutch alignment tool I can have a lend of?

PM me if you do, strictly a boomerang situation.

The Extreme kits normally come with an aligning tool these days...

Xtreme clutches emailed me back and said the kit will come with the tool. And if it didn't then he would send one out.

Thanks to Chris @ xtreme

Clutch, flywheel and braided clutch line all went in last night. Went smooth as silk until it was time to seperate the box from the motor!!! The bearing was an absolute nightmare to pull away from the pressure plate until found a clip on YouTube and doh, a 10min job turned into a marathon. Then a nice easy assemble after all that. Clutch is super responsive and I can notice the quicker reving from the chromoly flywheel. Just gotta get use to a grabbier clutch now.
