I have a new chipped EVO III, the chip is set for an 055 MAF. I am extremely excited by this however I have to wait til I get an 055 from the wreckers tomorrow.
The question I want answered is this, given that a 609 reads the same as a 055 will my 787 read the same as well? I realise that the engine will likely run rich without the 055 if it works though.

Mio how does that table work? The bigger the number the less air is flowing for a particular htz level?
your table shows the 609 and 055 are different up top and the 878 (787?) Is closer in flow to a evo 069 (609?) than the magna one is.

Oh, i need to.....
Take the values from the MAS compensation
map, subtract 140d, convert the hex, use 8C as the adder, and add 9884

Thanks to jeff O for that gobbledygook

Do I add the 9884 as a hex or decimal number...

Thanks for that Mio, I don't quite understand it all (though I believe that Mo definitely does). Although its fairly obvious that it Wong work.
Awesome work Mio, cheers mate.

I have a few more from pajero 2000 model, challenger 1999 model and magna sports. That's if i can find it.

Jack, all values in my tables are in hex and as for magna 055 it may not be correct as the information there is taken from vr4 chips using 055 in them. I never had a chance to see what it would be in magna ecu for 055. I will check what afm number is on magna sport 01 model that i have bin from.

I believe it will work but you never know until you plug it in and data log it.

Cheers Mio, I might play it safe and just get one from the wreckers anyway. All good.
