Hey guys, Jonathan here...

I have just purchased dino's ESR/EVO, and just wanted to intro myself to team4g as i know alot of you guys would have seen the build up of my new car :).
This is my 8 jap/import car, but all of them have been nissans apart from a s5 rx7 and a huchi. So i will need a hand in getting my head around the workings of my new love for the mitsu  .

Regards, Jonathan

welcome aboard mate...... good to see u on here so quickly!

congrats on the purchase, its one immaculate ride....

great purchase mate!!

i witnessed the buildup..

now do what dino has never done...
run it down the 1/4!!!

that was a good buy! i woulda bought it if i had that extra cash but im happy with pinky  stuff the 1/4 mile.. run one of us :p

posts

hey thanks guys!

yeh it was a great buy, it has a few nigeling problems at the moment but they are being fixed as we speak at tech sport :)

as for the 1/4 mile, i am more of a track man myself. but hey if it get the chance i would in a second.

as for draging one you guys, why not? im not one to back down - but i may want to wait untill i convert it to RWD and get a re-tune to 22psi, so i have a good 300rwkw+...

thanks again guys.

regards, jonathan

hehe yeh i have been hearing that alot :)

but i have always been a drifter/track at heart, way back when it wasnt herd of and there was only 5 of us out there. so i cant help myself...

hehe yeh, i have now actualy been able to take for a good boot for the first time on lysterfield road :) i know what you mean by awd drift... i am now having second thought about the rwd. i got a quote from techsport and it ended up about $2500 but there are going to be problems like the transfer case being to week and the same with the LSD plates. soooo not sure.

it wont be cheap to do, although there are cheap ways of doing it

i can get you a viscous coupling eliminator which will lock your centre diff, you can then remove the front shafts and voila!!! rwd..
the only problem, u'll need to block the shafts somehow and then it comes down to how long your rear diff will last in rwd mode!

there are some vids of a rwd vr4 doing a burnout, and also a rwd vr4 in the drift comp..

u gonna be competing with this car?

Congrats with the purchase of that car. I love that thing so much, so much care taken in the build process, looks beautiful. You wont be dissapointed.

Leave it AWD!

Yeh that sounds about right, they quoted $2500 including a evo3 lsd. but i think this will just make to many weak points in the car... so i am having second thoughts at the moment.
If i do go through with it i will most likely compeat... cant help myself hehe

thanks maloven, yeh she is a nice one.

P.S she is going on the dyno on the 17th and getting another 4psi tunned onto her :). cant wait.

no worries with the transfer case mate

vr4 has had a rally one (50/50) for about a year now with no issues. it's done the diff (4 bolt lsd) once and it sounds like it's on it's way out again

so no issues with transfer case but diffs might cost a bit.. $2500 is a bit rich though....

thanks guys...

A commodore would have been alot cheaper and its RWD already

.... yeh but it wont go anywere? and it will handle like ****, and wont be very original. and the fact the look like ****.

yeh she is going on the dyno on tue to put some more power in her, then i will have a good play and see what i want to do?
