G'day all, I'm looking at putting a 4G63T EVO 3 into a Nimbus, I have too many kids for the sedan, and want to still be able to go up hills.

I've been reading up in here and this looks like a great forum.
Now all I have to do is find an engine and a gearbox and get to it.

Cheers

Thanks, if anyone can point me to places to source an engine and box, I'm all ears. I've been out of the scene for a while.

If I were you I'ld grab myself a wrecked RVR turbo and transfer the looms, electricals, engine bay components, dash, zorst manifold etc over.
Best to grab everything at once so you have a near definitive project cost sorted, you'll have everything you need, you can do the conversion quickly, but above all you know it all fits and works together as a package!! :)

Buying bits separately may seem like its going to be cheap at first, but then you realise all the other bits you really need for the project to complete it. 9 times out of 10 it'll give you nothing but headache and frustration chasing even the smallest parts up and paying much more $$ in the long run and time drags on and on. The last thing you want is to finally get the car together after several months or years and running into all sorts of gremlins.

I actually scored a Nimbus that previously had a VR4 engine in it, so most of the hard work is already done.

I'm looking at an RVR turbo, just trying to work out what differences there are between the VR4 Galant (which is what it had) vs the RVR.

I agree on buying a whole unit if I can, or a front cut, it is just a matter of finding them!
