hey guys i got a weird one, n wanna know what ppl have to say about it...

ok for starters the timing belt is on CORRECT, n all the oil pumps everything lines up correct... it has been installed correctly, n by the book specs...

the noisy is coming from the bottom oil pump/crank area,,, its like a tinny noist, like their is no oil pressure down below... like a bottom end bearing has craped itself...

the crank has no moment (Back n farward) all timing marks r a lined... no exhaust is hitting nothing is loose...

i replaced all the seals and got a timing belt KIT, so all bearings r new...

what do ppl think?

Whats wrong?

Me no understand.

yeah its hard to explain... the oil pump shaft or the crank shaft has a noise... it sounds like a bearing noise or something rather... but its comming from the bottom of the motor...

it had a oil change, timing belt.... new turbo, new belts, new bearings, new seals...

could it be that something isnt 100% tight or a small bolt or nut etc dropped in there by any chance?

both oil n balance shaft r correct... have timing belt covers off atm all lines r realined...

last time i had my balance shaft out by 180 o the car ran like CRAP... the car runs n drives 100% perfect... so if the belt/ or balance shaft is out, the car would be running like shit... plus i went by the good, all the belts r done to spec...

all bolts have been re-checked cause thats the kinda noise it is making... like a bolt is loose or something... i'll talk to the guys at work, if they r unsure i'll give tech sport a call...

harmonic balancer wobbling?

how did the oil look when it came out?
does the tbelt have any marks on it?

Well if you installed a new timing belt kit and tensioner pulleys etc then I hope you changed your waterpump at the same time. The damn things should be changed everytime you do a timing belt kit because they are in a bitch of a spot and will almost certainly crap itself when you least expect it. If it was making the noise after a waterpump change then hard to say as we cant tell over the net, but you might end up having to remove the sump and inspect internals and oil pickup/pump.

water pump is new... everything is new...
marks have all be re-alined... n all good.

yeah i took the sump off, but leaft everyhting the way it was... i just redid the sump gasket... the bearings just would not go like that... they would have been noisy before... the oil that come out was like normal... black serviced every 3-5,000 kms

got a few guys from my work coming on wednesday to listen to the noise... i'll try a few more things then record the noise

last time i remember a noise like this came from evolutionary's E2 and it was the flywheel had loose bolts

check you altinator the bearing can go in that and it sounds bad also

Have you tried running the engine with the drive belts off? best way to determine if the noise is coming from pwrsteer or altinator, It's not possible to get the timing belt TO tight is it? A timing belt that is to tight can make noises.

sorry i should have made myself more clear... all other belts r off EG: p/s n alt... the whole timing cover is off... started the car that way, n the noise is from the blance shaft/crank shaft area... the belt i loosened off n tryed that... no difference... i did the belt to specs anyways...

so i guess i might find out tomorrow...

i never had gear box apart so something should not be loose... the noise mostly shoulds like no oil pressure in the bottom end... oil light is going out... noise goes away at 4000rpm...
so if its something like bottom end bearing, the noise should be getting worse when reving...

problem found... one of the bearings on the shaft had so much play in it... CANT BELIEVE i missed that! anywho... it had alot of play n the belt was to loose so it was kinda vibrating... so the bearing will be getting all replaced... no it was not installed wrong... bursons have made the fuckup with the kit i had recieved... will be all sorted out by friday...
so we will see how this al goes, but i'm 90% sure its the problem...

could not believe the amount of play in the bearing... it was like one that had been stuffed before n then been put back in the box for reselling...
