Man, I want to check my valve clearence, I have tried to take the rocker cover of just to have a look around in there, (I used to do it to me sigma all the time) and check stuff out. I removed all bolts and lifted it up but it got stuck or caught on something near the cams??

I am sure there is something simple to it, please point me in the right direction.

It gets stuck near the cam gears eh? You have to tilt the crank angle sensor end up first and pull out

Righto man. Thanks for the heads up. I was not sure weather to pull or twist or what. So it will just lift up then slide right out of there? No need to remove studs or anything? It looked like it was getting caught on those studs for the cap nuts. Maby it was some gasket or something holding it hey.

I didnt think 4g67's had adjustable lash adjusters/tappets? I thought they were hydraulic. Unless your not even running a 4g67, or I could just be wrong....

No they are hydraulic. The exhaust manifold you sold me bolts straight on. No I just wanted to get in there to find out how many I need to replace, so I need to get in under the cover to pull them out and inspect.
Thanks for the reponses guys I will have a go this weekend, cheers.

you are best off replacing all 16 lash adjusters ive been told there are revised 3rd generation lash adjusters getting around which eliminate the chatter from the lash adjusters but you can clog them up by not keeping the motor in top condition with fresh oil

yer i now it all comes down too looking after the motor and keeping it in top nick

its just like anything with lash adjusters or lifters ive seen hyundai with 20 000ks on the clock with lifter noise cos they skipped first service
