Thats fucking tough!

If i ever do another car it will have a EVO 9 engine in it. Looks fantastic!

wowzers!
thats Phat.
wonder how much of an effort it is to get the E4-9 engine in.
Pretty easy if you can weld, and have the tools, remove left and right chassis rail engine mounting brackets, fabricate the cn9a/cp9a engine mounting brackets on the gsr chassis rail, and use a E4 rs rear end and it all bolts up ;)

There's a guy in NZ who has done it aswell:

Hey all. just a friendly note.

if some of you are thinking about putting a late model motor in a 3

DON'T!!!!!!

go and buy a late model car.

for all the good in this car there was twice as many nightmares.
it's cheaper to buy a road going seven and then cage it, than to frig around notching chassis rails, moving mounts, changing front end to suit turbos and radiators. then there is power steering
shortening drive shafts, wheel guard clearance, trans tunnel modifications for sway bar.
brakes, gear linkage mounts.......................

Builds like this reinforces my admiration for Norris Design's ingenuity and affection for Mitsubishi in general...
