Hey guys, I'm stoked.
Just won a Silver 91 CB GSR 3 door on Ebay for cheap.
Gotta drive down to Ballarat to pick it up, not a big deal at all.

"apparantly" its pretty clean and tidy, no major damage and no rust. Is lowered on Kings, muffler, 16's and a stereo.
Even if I gotta spend $500 on it, it would still be a great price for a 3 door.

I'm sure I'll have some questions for you soon lol.

Not sure if link works but here it is.

For now yes. Basically my plan is to have this car as my daily till we leave for the UK, which then I can either clean it up and sell it or put it on stands and keep it till we get back, then at least I won't have to shell out cash to get a car once we get home. More than likely I'll drop a 63-t into it when we come back.

agreed they are a tough naturally aspirated engine and i researched this at work and a cb lancer gsr is supposed too have 123kw at the flywheel

Thanks Peta, I'm pretty happy I've finally got one. I've wanted one since I was in highschool. I don't know about the VR4 remark lol....I kinda like having 200kw at all 4.
I've never even driven a N/A 4g61 so I have no idea what to expect from it, but I suspect it will feel slow compared to the VR4...

Looks like you need some air in the tyres there, but looks like a sweet car for under a grand!

Not sure about the VR4 remark either ahaha

nah men they only make 92kw from memory...which is still good for what they are.

Yeah the tyres are shagged, will get some cheap 17's for it and the windscreen apparently has a chip in it. Driving down next sunday, grabbing it monday, giving it a good check over and a service, swapping wheels then driving it back. I've got a spare good muffler here, so that will go on, put some cyborg clear corners on and just a massive tidy up.

Ah, a reliable figure. Yeah, pretty stoked with it. Obviously still a bit skeptical about it, trying to not get my hopes up too much. But I can fix anything Mechanical and replace anything on the car and I have some good mates that are panel beaters and painters, so even if it is shit I'm sure I can fix it cheaply.

Well picked it up today, overall I'm VERY happy with it! It goes well for what it is, no bad knocks/rattles/noises etc
So far I've noticed 15" rims, Kings suspension, Cat back exhaust, JVC deck with sub and amp, Cut air box.

Not so good:
-Massive gearbox oil leak, appears to be coming from the selector seal? Anyone else get this?
-Tyres re knackered
-A Lil bit of roof rust coming through
-Fucked shocks, handles like a boat.

Lol, I know...whatever the hell that means. Probably a sales pitch by the selling dealer, they probably put those shitty 15's and the decals on it and raised the price 5k.

Yep, I did Jon. Quick fix is to put car in fifth gear and silicone the heck out of the seal, leave overnight to dry. Worked for me as a temp fix :)

^^ Now that's my kinda fix lol. I'm trying to not spend too much money on this as I can net a decent profit at the end of it.
Cheers Tim.
