does anyone noe why my 4g63 engine popped the oil dipstick and sprayed oil out of the oil tube during hi boost? it started happening right after i changed my intercooler piping to stainless steel piping

4g63 t motors are known for not havent very good rocker cover breathing. do some searching on forums, there are a few things that can contribute to making it worse, and a few things to help cure.

owh ok.. some normal workshop meaning to say.. not a performance workshop gave me the advise one taping the dipstick with a pipe tape.. is it a good advice? if i force the oil from NOT erupting through the oil tube will it cause internal damage on the engine?

most workshops will tell you your engine is stuffed and rebuild it, as it makes them more money!
yes lots of people cable tie or tap the dipstick down, in some cases its just an old worn out rubber on the dipstick, but its a good idea to check your PCV valve on the back of the rocker cover to check its not blocked, but most people will bore out and put in larger fittings on the rocker for better engine breathing.

cable tieing or taping will only fix the issue if its the worn out rubber on the dipstick. if its anything else, its only a cover up fix really.

Here's a link of how i enlarged the front breather, that the one that lets pressure out under boost. This way you don't have to weld the fittings on, so you don't have to repaint the rocker cover after ect.

Look at the second last post with the pics.

Wouldn't hurt to unscrew the pcv valve on the intake side of the motor and clean it. this one only vents when the intake is under vacuum, when your cruising.
