Oil filter housing pressure switch thread size?

Hi Guys,

Would anyone know what the thread size on the oil filter housing where the oil pressure switch screws into is?

From looking at the switch thread it looks to be a 1/8 npt thread but when I tried to screw a tee piece into the oil filter housing so that I can adapt an aftermarket sensor, the dam think wont start in the thread...

I was just going to remove the housing and re-tap the thread to 1/8 npt but thought I would ask before I did just incase it's not npt and I could save some time and buy the right adaptor instead.
