Hi im selling this but still want to pay attention to it whilst i have it.
I have just taken the intake pipe of to the turbo and there is a bit of fresh oil in the pipes, all around the turbo inlet.
Is this a problem?
I have the following oil related issues also - It uses alot of oil, it spits alot of oil from the exhaust whilst starting, i also see it blow abit of smoke when boost hits.
CXould this be a turbo gone wrong? IF a turbo starts going bad will it show symptoms similar to clutch slipping? Like not sppol up properly and rev out...
Any help is much appreciated

i had a similar problem, the breather from the tappet cover would allow oil to go into the intake, go through the turbo and into the injectors and was blowing blue smoke, i re-directed the breather into a catch can, problem gone! have a look there. as for the slipping clutch, i dont know

Dont block the pcv valve off (the one on the valve cover that faces the intake manifold), unscrew it and soak in petrol so it works, its a one way valve, could be a bit sticky.

its meant to pull vapours and water condensation out of the valve cover when the manifold is under vacuum. If the valve isnt shutting off when your on boost, the air from the inlet manifold will flow back through the rocker cover and blow through into you intake via the other breather. The pcv is only mean to be open under vacuum. That could be one reason for it to blow oil smoke on boost. try that first it'll take a minute to do.

Whne you startt the car, are you sure its oil spitting out and not just water condensation and carbon ect.

Also when its on boost, are you sure its oil smoke and not just the car running rich and its fuel smoke not oil smoke, stock maps are very rich. And most chips to. Dont you have a chip?

Ok i will have a look at the pcv valve.
Yes i have a chip, it does look like it runs rich, also when i start the car it spits out enough oil to make a black patch on the ground.
Not sure what to do, i might return it back to stock with stock chip afm etc...

That black stuff on the ground is most likely carbon. lots of turbo cars do it while they are warming up. Especially older ones with old/stuffed O2 sensors or o2 sensors that arnt heated (single wire not 4)
Its moisture in the exhaust gettin blown out as it heats up, an taking all the carbon in the exhaust out with it.

I wouldnt jump strait to the conclusion that its oil just coz its black, unless it feels like oil on you hand or is separting if you put water on it?
