well, I was on the way home from the shops, when I noticed when I accelerated a bit more than over 3000rpm, my car would stutter a lot. WTF! so anyway, it stalled itself while i was driving, turned it back on, came on alright, then stalled again. I eventually pulled into a car park and waited for a tow truck to come get me. I tried starting it after it had been off for a while and now it wont even turn over :(

Here's where it gets bad. The temp level was alright, but I checked the radiator fluid and it was a little dirty (only replaced 5000k's ago) and there was none that was visible. I topped it up from the servo I was at with new good stuff, but still haven't driven it just in case.

So this is what I think has happened and I hope to god I'm wrong. I'm guessing the cars head gasket let go for some reason (bad tune maybe? I remember a noise that sounded like pinging that could have actually been pinging argh) leading to the radiator fluid leaking through the head, causing my car to run like ass. Also, SO FAR, the radiator fluid isn't milky or anything yet, neither is my oil. So I'm hoping if it is a head gasket, I wont have to spend 600 000 yen fixing the thing.

it's either that, or something to do with my ignition or some crap, which i hope is the reason. I'm dreaming tho. It's so obviously a head gasket.... :smt022

last car i had with a head gasket problem it was steamin water out the exhaust, was / is it doing that?

should also look merky under the oil cap... but you very well could still be right

nope, no steam out the back, no murkey radiator fluid...YET. There's a few signs to point another direction away from the blown head gasket, but if it is that, it wont be a bad case. Mightn't even need to shave the head. BUT, I'll take it to a mechanic tomorrow and we'll see how we go.

any other suggestions on what it could be would be great. crappy ecu could be it too, wouldn't suprise me...fkn microtech.

I'm starting to think its something other than the engine itself, like an electrical problem or ignition simply because of how it's behaving. its either that, a head gasket or one Uber effed engine.

I would suggest checking the caps on the ecu reason is when the caps leak the first part of the board to get damaged is the fuel signal feed and it does exactly what you had happened to you.

OK sorry man your on your own with after market ecu's
Good Luck in your quest to get her back on the road.

UPDATE!!!!

It finally turned over, warmed up, and i found out the radiator fluid has a white murkey substance. Not much, but a little bit. I think I have a cracked head :( anyone got a 4g63 head? :S

ok head is fine, its just my head gasket. Getting fixed as we speak. Won't burn a hole in my pocket, i had to sell my pants to fix the car :p
