what do they reckon, its a 1/4" ball. from bearing shop or fastener place. damn even bicycle shop prob has one.

take the car to there and and let them do it ......with out the gearbox being removed

if you dont take the box out and pull it down then the question you need to ask is where is the old ball bearing? don't want that getting in between a couple of gears

The bearing would have fallen out when the casing was removed to rebuild it...Exactly what happened with mine...Its so small- you wouldnt even notice it was gone till the oil leaks begin!!

Its about 6-7mm from memory...
